Item Description

Garnet Hill is well-known for fine andradite and epidote specimens. Molybdenite specimens are rare comparatively. Aesthetically intergrown, splendent, metallic-gray, hexagonal, bladed, molybdenite clusters are nicely accented with scattered epidote and a quartz vein on this sculptural and excellent 360-degree miniature. Fine old-time material from the Ralph Merrill Collection, who paid $25 for this in August, 1961. NOT cheap in those days! A MUST for the locality or species collector.
