An incredibly hard to find specimen of Molybdenite from this remote locality in the British Virgin Islands! It's the ONLY specimen of this material that we've had to offer. Eye-catching, silvery, metallic hexagonal foliated crystals of Molybdenite measuring up to 1.0 cm across, sit atop off-white colored massive Quartz matrix. There are some contacted areas, the piece is not completely undamaged, but it's more than just a reference specimen, it's the kind of piece that you're not likely to find anywhere else on the market, and if you collect sulfides, molybdenum-bearing minerals, or just oddball localities, this is a great opportunity to pick up something that it's virtually impossible to obtain.
