Splendent, gray, hexagonal, bladed, molybdenite crystals to 2.2 cm are richly scattered on quartz matrix from the famed and long-closed Kingsgate Mines of Australia. Mining effectively ceased in 1923, with only sporadic exploration since. This is very fine, classic, old-time material. We have not offered a Kingsgate moly specimen at auction for over three years!
