Item Description

Some of the finest crystallized examples of Molybdenite are the famous pieces from the Moly Hill Mine in Quebec. This beautiful and showy miniature is a classic example of this well-known material featuring a 2.0 cm bright, metallic, foliated, hexagonal, bright silvery color crystal group of splendent Molybdenite on grey/white Quartz matrix with minor Muscovite on the back. The piece sits quite well on its own without the aid of a base or clay, and I can't find any damage. A very eye-catching and fine quality example of this lesser-seen material from this well-known locality. From the collection of Brian Kosnar, dealer and collector from Colorado.
