Item Description
A really fine quality and aethetic MATRIX display specimen of these well-known yet elusive Molybdenites from the Crown Point Mine in Washington which dates back to 1897 (mindat) and was finished operating in 1933. This showy toenail sized specimen hosts notably lustrous, dark silvery-grey metallic blades of Molbydenite measuring up to 2.0 cm across, flaring off of Quartz matrix. The front-most Molybdenites are in great condition, with only a little roughness in a few spots. The piece actually sits fairly well on its own and displays beautifully as you can see from the video. A really wonderful and choice example that you rarely seen in such showy examples.
