Item Description

The Henderson mine is one of the largest Molybdenum deposits in the world, and has been the largest producer of moly in North American for many years (over 40 million pound mined in 2007 alone!) This piece is a great example of the beautiful silvery "slick" Molybdenite that is found all over this impressive locality. Even though countless tons of ore are processed at this mine, very few specimens survive the crusher, and good "hand sized" pieces such as this are not terribly common on the market. If you collect sulfides, or Colorado minerals, do not miss out on this one.
