Mollusc Fossil with iridescent Marcasite (New Find!)

Here we have an appealing and lovely set of mollusc fossils from a brand new find in 2024 in Indonesia. This is an interesting two-piece fossil/mineral combo featuring a complete, very well-preserved bivalve mollusc that hosts sparkling iridescent Marcasite crystals inside. The two halves of the bivalve fit together perfectly, and when opened, reveal the pretty Marcasite crystals within. The pieces measures 2.7 x 2.2 x 1.1 cm and 2.7 x 2.3 x 1.1 cm respectively. We were able to get a handful of these sets from our good friend in Java, and will be listing them in the auctions going forward, but I'm told that no more have been found, so it's possible that this was a one-time find.
