Item Description
Minium is an uncommon mineral and this Tsumeb piece features tiny, orange-red crystals of this lead oxide with bundles of green-black Plattnerite which is also a lead oxide. This miniature is very good for both species as the Minium occurs as vibrant, orange-red, anhedral grains disseminated in and around the tight sheaves of lustrous, green-black Plattnerite both of which are abundant on the display face and then wrap around one side of the gray-green matrix. This is a dramatically colored Tsumeb piece! Ex. Ian Eden and Shields & Frances Flynn collections.
