Item Description

The famous Ojuela Mine is one of the most well-known mineral localities, not only in Mexico, but worldwide. The myriad of beautiful crystallized display specimens from this mine have found their way into collections around the world. This is a beautiful association specimen from the mid 2000s featuring fine quality, translucent, somewhat velvety, botryoidal aggregates of gorgeous rich green colored Mimetite measuring up to 7 mm across, associated with highly lustrous, gemmy to translucent, prismatic/pyramidal crystals of stark orange colored Wulfenite measuring up to 5 mm long, sitting atop gossan matrix. The combination of the two species is a classic combo for the locality, and certainly very desirable. This one is better quality than the video might indicate, very attractive in person. One of our photographers mentioned that the thumbnail photo for this piece resembles a stegosaurus, and I can definitely see it.  Valued $1,500.
