Mimetite with Wulfenite (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

For all the species at Ojuela, it's amazing how diverse some of them are. Mimetites from this prolific mine vary in terms of color and habit. We are used to seeing yellow semi-radial Mimetites from this locality, butt his piece features the rarely seen apple green crystals! - not "balls" with fine luster and form. They are highlighted by thin, GEMMY, window pane habit, yellow color Wulfenite crystals and minor Calcite on Limonite marix. The largest Mimetite crystal measures about 3 mm, and the largest Wulfenite measures up up to 7 mm across. Good quality all around, very little damage and just plain different compared to most Mimetites we've seen from Ojuela.
