Mimetite with Wulfenite

Incredible old material from the 1970s out of Santa Eulalia, Mexico - a rare and rich mimetite specimen decorated with wulfenite: This combination specimen of Mimetite with minor Wulfenite is double sided with both sides showing botryoidal aggregates of cauliflower-like textured Mimetite and sporadic lemon yellow tabular crystals of Wulfenite. The difference between the sides is the color of the Mimetite. The front display showing Mimetites with an uncommon richly saturated bright orange color up to 1cm in size. The other side having matte luster, yellow to yellow-orange colored Mimetites but with much more associated Wulfenites up to 1.3 cm. The piece is not pristine and the wulfenites are an accent only - not the focal point here (as most are damaged), but even with the noted damage it is still a really killer Mimetite for these early finds. The vivid orange Mimetites are very hard to find so if you collect Mexican minerals, secondary ore minerals or colorful association specimens, don't miss out on this one. Ex.
