Mimetite w/ Calcite (Stoudt Coll.)

Item Description

A sculptural and impressive large mimetite with calcite specimen from Santa Eulalia and the Dave Stoudt Mexico Collection. Lustrous, translucent, honey-yellow, mimetite prisms to 8 mm (some doubly terminated) are strikingly festooned on the furrowed, rolling, sturdy gossan matrix. Pearlescent calcite rhombs are preferentially deposited on one area of the piece and are a nice accent. The very modest bit of bruising and periphery wear is noted, but is certainly not a detraction to this very showy and rich specimen. Classic Santa Eulalia mimetite.
