Item Description
A classic specimen of the famous "campylite" from Caldbeck Fells in England. This variety of mimetite is most commonly associated with this locality, and its distinctive rusty orange color and somewhat spherical barrel-shaped crystals are some of the most well known of all English minerals. The showy piece features three aesthetically lined up campylites on a milky quartz matrix with a smaller crystal trailing away on the vein. The largest campylite crystal measures 7 mm across. A very nice small cabinet specimen of this well-known historic material and comes with a late 1800s label in German.
