Mimetite (unusual ''casts'')

An eye-catching and fine quality small cabinet specimen of the famous, beloved Mimetite specimens from the Santa Eulalia District in Mexico. This display quality specimen features muted golden spherical groups on matrix, but when you flip the piece over, you can see they seem to have formed hollow "casts" (epimorphs / perimorphs) after an unknown mineral. I love the eye-catching distinct sparkling luster on the Mimetites and the fact that each group is fairly well-separated and defined makes them all the more enticing. A showy and three-dimensional example of these well-known and fine quality Mimetites. No major damage that I can see.
