Item Description
No, these mimetite specimens are not from San Pedro Corralitos. Even those are hard to get now, but these are even rarer thumbnails of similar form and color from a completely different locality in Zacatecas - the Bilbao Mine. They are translucent, rich orange to yellow-orange botryoids with a silky luster, pretty 3-dimensionality and are partially coated with an unknown pastel-green mineral. From a one-time find in the 1950s, I am told. Ex Consie Prince Collection of Houston to the Dave Stoudt Collection. Excellent color for this locality.
