Item Description
A RARE, old-time mimetite specimen from the famous Friedrichssegen Mine at Bad Ems. Spherical aggegates of tiny, sharply hexagonal. lustrous to oxide-coated mimetite crystals solidly comprise this showy and historic specimen. The large botryoid is 1.5 cm. This noted mine closed in 1913. Very rare on the market and this piece is in fine shape, with just trivial bit of periphery wear. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection. Valued at $250 for rarity and quality.
