Item Description
At first glance, one might that this Mimetite specimen is from San Pedro Corralitos, and even those are hard to get now, but this is an even rarer cabinet display piece of similar form but RICHER orange from a completely different locality in Zacatecas. These are orange botryoids with a somewhat velvety luster, and are accented with sparkly drusy Calcite. The largest Mimetite sphere measures 6 mm. From a one-time find in the 1950s.
