Wheal Alfred is famous for world-class pyromorphite specimens, but also produced some very fine mimetite specimens. Beautiful, juicy, straw-yellow, curved prisms to 6 mm fill two sculptural vugs in quartz matrix on this exceptional, aesthetic and rare miniature. Specimens of this quality probably date to the mid-1800s. A true and rare Cornwall classic. From an East Coast collection. Valued at $600-750.
