Item Description
Sparkly sprays of tiny creamy mimetite needles are festooned on the vuggy undulating surface of the sculptural small cabinet matrix on this very rich and showy specimen from famed Tsumeb. The unknown pretty blue-green coating, possibly rosasite, is a colorful contrasting accessory. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 8714 and acquired from Ron Bentley at the 1979 Tucson Show. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Classic and rich Tsumeb mimetite.
