Item Description
A fine specimen of this rich, robust, amber ale-colored style of mimetite that was known from Tsumeb from the 1960s and maybe the early 1970s. It is really sparkling, very different than other habits and styles. The specimen is not quite pristine as there is some edge wear, but all those stunning crystals in the pockets are intact and fully showing, protected by the matrix. It is a rich example of the style with HUNDREDS OF SHARP crystals showing the elongated, desired, glassy habit of Tsumeb mimetite. Valued $4000-5000. I have never had a pocket style specimen of this material before for sale.
