Item Description
An unusual mimetite from an old, rare Mexican location - this has great provenance from the John Ydren and Rock Currier collections. As a location mimetite, or a Mexican mimetite, it could also be seen as a significant locality specimen, even though the color is frankly drab, a balance of qualities. It comes with a free custom base ($175 in itself) and was recently in the pyromorphite-mimetite-vanadinite collection of Matt McGill.
