Item Description
Numerous, small but glistening, yellow, bipyramidal Mimetite crystals are scattered on a contrasting matrix on this atypical specimen from this noted locale. The bright red-brown Goethite matrix on this elongated piece is adorned with dozens of 2 to 5 mm, thin prismatic, bipyramidal Mimetite crystals in loose clusters and scattered individuals. There are also two, lustrous, translucent, modified Calcite crystals at the edge of the measuring 7 mm and 1 cm across. The bottom of the specimen is just bristling with hundreds of tiny, scintillating, yellow-brown Mimetite crystals! A colorful and unusual Mimetite piece from the Ojuela Mine.
