Mimetite (ex Brian Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

A good looking Mimetite featuring a bright yellow colored "bursts" of crystals on matrix. The crystals are all prismatic in habit, with decent translucency and resinous luster sitting on a gossan matrix. Tsumeb set the standard for the species as far as I'm concerned, and good small cabinet sized Mimetites from this locality and now rather difficult to find on the market. From the collection of Brian Kosnar, who obtained it from the Allen Beres collection.
