Mimetite (ex Bill Smith Collection)

Item Description

This is a good quality Mimetite for this locality as the crystals are notably bright greenish-yellow, and not the typical dingy orange or brown that is often seen from Santa Eulalia. Dozens of small, rather lustrous hexagonal prisms and sitting on oxidized matrix. The largest crystal is only about 2 mm, but they are good quality and the color is really what matters here. The piece comes with a few labels, one of which notes that it was once in the collection of Bill Smith.
