Item Description
A classic piece of these well-known Mimetites, featuring attractive rich yellow colored groups of which are covering the underlying oxidized matrix from this famous Mexican locality. The Mimetites are a bit elongated in habit, but not truly narrow prisms, nor are they complete "spheres", rather somewhere in between. The largest individual Mimetite measures about 5 mm. They have a distinct resinous luster and the fact that they are fairly well-separated and defined makes them all the more enticing. Very minor bladed orange-yellow Wulfenite can be seen on the piece as well. A showy and three-dimensional display specimen of this classic material from Ojuela. Very little damage
