If you missed out on the exciting find of Chinese Mimetites because of the high cost, here is a chance to get one at auction for something a bit more reasonable. It is obvious why these caused such a stir when you look at the beautiful, gemmy, orange crystals. The barrel-shaped crystals are gemmy and very lustrous. You can even see the distinct zones, particularly at the terminations. These fine Mimetites range up to 7 mm in length, and they are generously distributed on the matrix.
