Totally covering one side of the matrix are hundreds of glassy and gemmy, yellow crystals of mimetite, to 7 mm in length. Many of the barrel shaped crystals exhibit lovely hopper growth. This is overall a VERY very rich and showy specimen from this one-find Thailand find about 1997. These are among the finest mimetites from anywhere and are seldom on the market today. Excellent mimetite for the color alone, as well as the size appeal, rarity of locality, and the country of origin. We do NOT see many for sale anymore at all. Valued $1500-2000
