Item Description
If you ever wanted a mimetite from the small, but renowned 1971 "Gem Pocket" find at Tsumeb, here is your chance. The gorgeous, gemmy and lustrous, yellow mimetites reach 1.7 cm and have nifty stepped-growth faces. The two highlights are the striking cluster on one side with the largest crystals and the dramatic, isolated, 1.3 cm, sharply terminated, gem crystal. The terminations on the clustered mimetites are contacted, but have very minimal impact on the quality of these crystals. "Gem Pocket" mimetites are considered the finest examples in the world. Comes with a faded 1970s-era Lidstroms label. RARELY on the market! valued $1000-1500
