Item Description

An attractive representative Mimetite from Tsumeb featuring eye-catching yellow crystal aggregates and "sprays" measuring up to about 4 mm across, sitting on matrix. There is an unusual almost "metallic" dark reddish colored striated partial crystal on the piece, that almost resembles Rutile, but I has to be something else, and I'm certain that there is no Rutile associated with Mimetite from this locality. Tsumeb is one of the greatest mineral localities in history, and has produced what are inarguably the finest crystals of Mimetite ever seen.
