Millerite with Pecoraite (rare) (ex Allen Heyl Collection)

Item Description

This specimen features silvery-black needles of Millerite with minor light green Pecoraite on a whitish Calcite (?) matrix. I have photographed the crystals with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. This specimen comes from the collection of noted Colorado geologist, Allen Heyl (for whom Aheylite was named). A really cool specimen that would certainly make a great addition to a collection of Missouri minerals.
