Item Description
These distinctive specimens are some of the most singular examples of Millerite ever found for the simple reason that we typically think of this nickel sulfide as occurring in thin acicular "needles", but the pieces from Sudbury occur in thick, massive blocky specimens, often associated with iridescent golden metallic Chalcopyrite. This piece is a classic example of said material showing the light silvery-golden massive Millerite which plays host to the bright brassy Chalcopyrite. It's a rich sample, and one of the better pieces of this characteristic material.
Ex Colin Manlove collection.
