Item Description

A 1.7 cm dense nest of bright metallic bronzy millerite needles is dramatically set in the contrasting quartz-lined curved vug of the very sculptural limestone matrix. Millerite specimens are well-known from this Michigan quarry and this is an excellent small cabinet example with architectural flair. From the David Burgess Collection, for whom the mineral Burgessite is named.
