Millerite (old classic) ex. Trimingham

Splendent sprays of brass-yellow acicular millerite crystals are richly scattered on all sides of the hefty mounded ore matrix on this classic old-timer from Germany. The rich ore specimen also probably has gray granular native bismuth or siegenite, which are uncommon for the locale. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and apparently once had a F. Krantz label with it (now lost), which is typical for these old pieces - many of which would have been found in the late 1800s. Hefty at 263 grams mass. valued $750 based on specimens I have seen for sale in Munich at the show, from old collections.
