Millerite in Calcite (old classic)

Item Description

An extremely scarce example of millerite from this old silver mining district, where it was always exceedingly rare. The specimen consists of thin vein-like millerite interspersed between calcite, in massive calcite. Rich platy galena ore is noted on the back. Ex old "Museum" Collection, and comes with two old German labels, one on a wooden block as it was in a display case.
