Microlite (old USA locale)

Item Description

Microlite is an uncommon oxide found in albitized granite pegmatites, and it is the tantalum analogue of Pyrochlore. Though partially rounded, there are visible faces on this variegated, brown crystal. The Microlite is from a famous Virginia locale - the Amelia Courthouse, which is near one of the last major American Civil War battles. This crystal is nearly complete-all-around, and it is difficult to say if there really is any contacting. from the USA, this is a rare thing!
