Item Description

A nice association specimen featuring a group of off-white blocky Microcline crystals, measuring up to 2.7 cm, associated with an elongated prismatic crystal of GEMMY, sharp, lustrous Smoky Quartz on the side. The Microcline crystals almost appear to show "Carlsbad" twinning, and perhaps the most intriguing aspect is that they are slightly translucent, which is not commonly seen in Feldspar crystals. No major damage and very eye-catching.
From the collection of Bill ("Burma Bill") Larson of Fallbrook, California. Bill is a well-known gem and mineral dealer as well as a miner and worldwide mineral collector. Bill has traveled the world for decades in search of fine gems and minerals, and was directly involved in the in-person acquisition and importation of superb specimens and stones from Myanmar (Burma).
