Microcline with Quartz

It's not easy to find cabinet sized display specimens from Myanmar, most pieces are either thumbnails or miniatures. This piece is a showy and dramatic specimen featuring a cream colored, sharp, well-formed, blocky crystal of Microcline, which plays host to a 4.5 cm, sharp, GEMMY, colorless, prismatic Quartz crystal aesthetically flaring upwards. I love the high glossy luster on the Microcline crystal, and it's almost completely crystallized on all sides, making this piece a near "floater". A few smaller accenting Quartz crystals can be seen on the specimen for a nice touch. No major damage anywhere, and the piece is really dramatic and three-dimensional as you can see.
