Item Description

A dramatic and aesthetic, stacked parallel-growth cluster of blocky cream-colored microcline crystals from recent finds in the Andes Mountains. Some of the microcline faces have stunning stepped/hoppered growth faces. The microcline is beautifully accented on one side with a 3.6 cm, doubly terminated, glassy smoky quartz crystal. Ex Dave Stoudt Collection # 822. Dave lived and worked in Argentina in the oil industry and established good contacts there with collectors. He purchased this piece in Buenos Aires in 2002, according to his label.
