Item Description
Hyalophane is a rare variety of Microcline, a member of the Feldspar Group. This prismatic, partially gemmy crystal has very good luster and is doubly-terminated. There is a bit of wear along a few of the edges, but the overall aesthetics remain very good. This obscure, small locality that has produced the world's finest examples of Hyalophane, and this fine miniature well-represents the species. See the 1996 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 27, No. 5. #10,680 in Kay's collection.
