This is a large single crystal of microcline var. amazonite from one of the most well-known districts in Colorado. The Lake George area of Colorado has produced what is arguably the finest Amazonite specimens in the world. This particular claim, held by the Dorris family since at least 2011, is no exception. This large single crystal of 6.7 cm has rich color saturation for its size and makes for a wonderful example of this famous material, with the bright, rich coloring desired in these pieces! textbook form and shape!
