Item Description

Amazonite specimens from Ethiopia rank second only to the Pikes Peak area for their quality and beauty. The Kenticha Mine has produced very fine Amazonites, with associated Smoky Quartz crystals being rare for this pegmatite deposit. This large, richly-colored Amazonite crystal is skewered by numerous Smoky Quartz, emerging out the top and the sides. The largest Smoky is 4.6 cm. A few on the side are missing their terminations, but the three that crown the piece are in very good condition. This is a striking, unusual, and aesthetic large combination piece.
