Item Description
A rich green colored group of very sharp and well-formed Amazonite from the famed Crystal Peak area in Colorado. Without question, the finest examples of Amazonite are found in an around this part of Central Colorado with their textbook form and superb color. This piece has the added bonus of some lightly colored "striped" on the prism faces, which is actually a second deposition of epitactic Feldspar, creating a pleasing two-tone effect. The piece is in superb condition, with no major damage on the top/display side, and it has good luster on the terminations. A wonderful example of these beloved Amazonites. From the collection of Sean Lincoln.
