Item Description
This locality is best known for its gem blue Topaz crystals and purple Herderites, and good quality crystallized Feldpsars are not very common. This piece is a gorgeous display specimen featuring a 2.8 cm, sharp, well-formed, blocky, off-white color crystal of Microcline (possibly twinned?) sitting on lovely blue bladed Albite (var: Cleavelandite). Most Albite is white or colorless, so to find blue crystals is certainly rare. A showy and three-dimensional display piece and fine quality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#9485). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
