Item Description
Pink SW UV Microcline fluorescence on the crystals that frame both sides and interior of the sculptural large elongated vug aesthetically lined with lustrous jet-black to olive-green aegerine prisms, to 4.0 cm, from the well-known alkali pegmatites at Mount Malosa. Formerly in the Claus Hedegaard Collection and collected in 1996, according to Chet Lemanski's Collection catalogue. Chet acquired the piece in 1999. The specimen displays well without aid.
