Item Description

What a dramatic, big, three-dimensional and showy specimen featuring eye-catching "Carlsbad" twins of cream colored Microcline from Erongo. The twins are quite pronounced, and well-isolated, showing defined twinning planes with a slight bit of almost "feathery" overgrowth on the terminations, creating a really eye-catching effect. The largest twin measures 3.7 cm along, and there are several of them flaring out in multiple directions on the piece. The added touch of a scattered silvery/smoky colored Quartz crystals, plus thin prismatic black crystals of Tourmaline and a select few green Fluorite cubes really round out the piece, giving it character and a bit of contrast. No major damage, and wonderful in person. If you collect Feldspars, twinned crystals, pegmatite minerals or specimens from Erongo, this is a good-sized, nice-looking big cabinet display specimen for your collection. Valued $2,000.
