Microcline and Quartz

Expressive and sculptural large 360-degree microcline and quartz combination from the Shigar Valley. Sharp, well-formed porcelain-white baveno twinned microcline crystals, to about 5.0 cm, with pearlescent faces are aesthetically set on the mounded piece. Contrasting, isolated and clustered, transparent to translucent quartz crystals with stepped-growth faces, to 6.5 cm, are adroitly set on the specimen and make a fine complement. A rich second generation of smaller microcline crystals adds more character. The VIDEO shows a cute BONUS of a gemmy, blue, 5 mm aquamarine crystal near the base of the largest quartz crystal. The large crystals in the interior are pristine, except for the quartz crystal to the right of the microcline on the back of the specimen. Two sides of the termination are contacted, where other crystals once lay, but there is no damage, per se. A showy and excellent large combination piece of the common rock forming minerals themselves, often not collected and saved as much from the well-known locale. Valued $1300.
