Microcline, Albite and Smoky Quartz

Item Description

A showy combination specimen of very sharp, moderately lustrous, pastel-pink crystals of microcline, with a single smoky quartz point and small, off-white, translucent albite crystals. The largest microcline is 3.2 cm. Tiny muscovite plates scattered about are a very nice accent. Periphery wear is noted on the backside of the piece, but is a very modest detraction. From a recent find in the Andes of Argentina.
