Item Description
Metavoltine is a very rare potassium iron sodium sulfate that is almost impossible to find on the market today. This piece is from the famous Chuquicamata Mine in Chile and features rich golden-yellow colored, translucent / gemmy micro crystals of Metavoltine covering several sides of the underlying matrix. A great rarity for any species collector or a fan of sulfates. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#10976). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
