Item Description
Metavauxite is the rarest of the three vauxite varietals and is known from only two localities in the world - both in Bolivia. This is an extremely rich and uncommon form of the species, usually found as elongated blades. Two, large, intergrown, spherical aggregates consist of sprays of shimmering, light green, blades and the matrix is also covered with this extreme phosphate rarity. This is a classic, very rich, outstanding and uncommon miniature example of the species from the famous Type Locality - the Siglo XX Mine. Valued $500. Ex Marty Zinn Collection # 1402.
