Item Description

Metatorbernite and schorl are both RARE from this well-known Nevada locale. Iridescent lime-green metatorbernite plates to 9 mm are richly and attractively scattered on the rhyolite matrix. Sections of schorl and quartz are noted in the rhyolite. A very colorful, RARE and excellent combination specimen from the Bob Trimingham Collection. Purchased from respected Mineralogical Research in 1997. The piece displays well from either side.
